Music Tells A Story
In early 2017, Bonn E Maiy was working in Canada, always drawn to making music, but wondering if her dreams would ever materialize. Just a couple years later - she’s been on stage with Johnny Depp and Aerosmith’s Joe Perry, performed in stadiums with tens of thousands of people, and her music has been streamed millions of times…safe to say, she’s on the right path!
This gifted creative has proven well capable of going from performing for 40,000 people in a stadium, to acting in a short film or on a theatre stage… to creating and performing songs in a recording studio for the LIVE stage - and calling it ‘just a day in the life’.
Since February 2018, the vocalist and musician has played numerous high-profile stages, including: Hard Rock’s Guitar Hotel launch with Johnny Depp / Joe Perry / Paul Geary / Miguel, iHeart Live Sessions (NYC HQ), Boca Raton Bowl (25k attendance), Sunfest (130k attendance), Riptide Music Festival (60k attendance), Chili Cook Off (25k attendance), shows with Josh Turner, Sublime with Rome, Eric Paslay, and more. In February 2020 she will announce opening a leg of a very well-known band’s tour, and other main stage performances.
Her new music video for football anthem “Gameday” features NFL Hall of Famer - Ray Lewis, and her version of alt-classic “Sex and Candy” played on Miami radio for 6 weeks. The song has accumulated 100,000+ Spotify streams across 50 cities, and her short film for the song garnered 260,000+ Youtube views - showcasing Bonn’s range as an actress. She will be announcing exciting updates in the world of acting - in March 2020.
Since March 2019, Bonn is averaging 25,000 - 60,000 streams per week (Soundscan). Total streams on her original music is cumulatively 2 million and counting.
Bonn’s music marries genres and perspectives, with lyrics covering the unfiltered realities of life. Her upcoming album “Demands & Desires” (out early 2020) has essences of Country, Americana, Rock, and even Broadway musicals. Her distinct vocal tone floats in and out of instrumentals while her other-worldly harmonies provide the listener multiple layers of ear candy at each turn. Tis set to be premiered / debuted through a resorts chain with 60+ global locations.
A true creative at heart, Bonn’s person is as interesting as her music: from playing rugby and wrestling in high school, to completing a degree in Wood-Working, to working as a barista and as a bartender, to driving semi-trucks with her granddad and earning a pilot’s license, her life is a lesson in living.
Just like the path of her ancestor Myles Standish, who sailed the Mayflower and led the Pilgrims at Plymouth Colony, Bonn E Maiy’s music journeyed from Europe to the U.S., and is set to redefine boundaries!
